Unchanged by the House settlement: Division II still awards a fixed number of equivalency scholarships per sport, split across the roster however the coaching staff chooses.
NCAA Division III bylaws prohibit any athletics-based financial aid. Division III student-athletes can still receive need-based or academic aid, same as any other student.
Scholarship maximums below are regulatory ceilings, not what any specific school awards: EADA (the federal dataset behind this page’s search results) reports athletic aid only as a school-wide total and never breaks it out by sport. Division I figures come from the House v. NCAA settlement (final approval 2025), which replaced fixed per-sport scholarship counts with per-sport roster limits for 2025-26 onward. Division II figures come from NCAA.org and are a verified partial sample — confirm the exact number before relying on it. Division III figures reflect NCAA bylaws (no athletics-based aid). NAIA and NJCAA per-sport limits are not yet verified in our research and are intentionally left out rather than guessed.
